If you are looking to make food yourself, there are lots of local markets nearby selling bread, fresh fruit, milk etc, as well as a larger supermarket just down the road. There are lovely bars/restaurants/shops really close in the town of Kumkoy, but equally you can take a nice long stroll/bus/cab to get into the town of side (pronounced see-day).
