Welcome to the Wayne County Community College District’s Dental Hygiene Department Wayne County Community College District’s Dental Hygiene program strives to create a learning environment in which each graduate is instilled with the knowledge, skills and values to provide dental hygiene care to patients, as well as a sense of responsibility to self, the community and the profession. The curriculum for dental hygiene students provides a progression of knowledge and skills as demonstrated by competencies which are the abilities required by the new dental hygiene graduate to enter the healthcare field as competent entry-level oral health care providers.
